This landscape originally had a drastically steep hill that made it difficult to enjoy. The first step was finding a way to create an exquisite deck and patio space while somehow camouflaging the slope — perhaps even making it appear gentle. A stucco feature wall anchors the two main entertaining areas, maintaining privacy while providing a showcase for artificial grasses. The gentle, light and bright tones of the stucco walls and pavers are contrasted with the darker tones of the deck. Additional privacy screens that seamlessly match the deck area were installed for added privacy on the lower patio. Other highlights include glass railings, a stucco firepit and LED lighting throughout the deck and steps. This elegant, stylish escape is ideal for good conversations or unwinding at the end of the day.
