By the time spring arrives, most of us are ready to leave winter behind. However, it's the perfect moment to evaluate the past season while details are still fresh and initiate the RFP process. During the summer, you can review submissions, vet potential providers, select a partner, and develop a solid snow management plan. Do you offer a multi year contract?

Locking in a long-term partnership often secures better pricing, as winters average out over 3–5 years. At LFX Snow Patrol, we value lasting relationships and keep the same teams on your sites year after year, ensuring familiarity and reducing mistakes.

Does your company have by the visit or seasonal contracts?

Is there a cap on the contract? Does it include application of deicers?

Some contracts limit visits and charge extra after a certain number or add fees for de-icing products. At LFX Snow Patrol, our contracts have no visit caps and include all de-icing products, ensuring no surprise charges.

What is the trigger depth for operations to begin?

Choosing a higher trigger depth can lower costs but increases the risk of slip-and-fall incidents. Our standard trigger depth is one inch, but we can adjust it to suit your needs.

Do you have a snow plow plan that identifies, boundaries, pile locations, walkways, priorities and critical service areas?

The Snow Patrol will work with you to develop your snow map that will be an appendix to your contract. All areas are clearly identified and all Snow Patrol personel have access to this information through our app based time tracking software.

What does your snow equipment fleet consist of?

A small limited fleet can cause issues in especially heavy snow falls. In the snow business equipment breaks, in small fleet this can mean your property doesn’t get serviced. At the Snow Patrol we have the one of the largest, most current and versatile fleets of equipment around. We have a full time mechanic on staff available 24/7 to address breakdowns as well a comprehensive equipment maintenance program, all to ensure that our challenges done become your problems.

Is your company a member of any industry associations
and do you hold any qualifications?

The LFX Snow Patrol has been a long standing and active member with both SIMA (Snow and Ice Managament Association) and the ASCA (Accredited Snow Contractors Association)

Do you have proper Risk Management in place?

The world of slip and fall lawsuits is more prevalent than others. Ensuring proper insurance policies and documented Health and Safety programs are in place should be a top priority. Our company adheres to the ANSI approved industry standards for snow and ice management as well as SIMA best practices

What training do you provide your employees with prior to the season?

All of our employees go through our online and practical training matrix and get lots of seat time prior to the first snow flake. The Snow Patrol will do a full “dry run” in the dark at the beginning of November. This is done to familiarize our teams with the flow of work and your property and its challenges without the pressure of the first snow fall.

What systems do you have in place to provide proactive easy communication?

A proactive email is sent whenever we are expecting snow or ice to explain our plan and help provide you with expectations. We have the latest technology that allows you to login to view our service history in real time. If you have a service complaint you can log an online snow ticket. This catalogues and stores complaints for future use if needed. Finally choose a provider who understands your goal and needs. Every client is different, facing different challenges every day.
